She is a dynamic and influential marketing and communications strategist with over 15 years in corporate, nonprofit and government experience focused on strategic planning, project management, digital, social media, traditional marketing, license acquisition and partnerships.

Civic and Community Engagement: Serving others and volunteering her talents is important to her and she saw this example in her parents and mentors. She is an active and Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; Sustaining Member of Junior League of Washington; Chair of Technology and PR/Communications Committee for the Washington (DC) Chapter of The Links, Inc. and serves on the Women’s Ministry and Education Ministry for Shiloh Baptist Church of Alexandria, VA.
She is a champion for diversity and served as a founding member of the Sisters in Service, 2018-2019 affinity group of the Junior League of Washington. Susan helped to spearhead the development of this group to encourage women of color to find a place, connect within the league, and advocate for members to step up into leadership roles in the League.
Non-profit Management: Susan is the Director of Marketing and Communications for the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges. In her spare time, she serves on the National Black Movie Association board and served as Director of Marketing to support the launch of the inaugural 2020 National Black Movie Day™ in Washington, DC. She negotiated a partnership with the Inaugural OLA Foundation Film Festival at the Atlas Theater, Washington, DC; coordinated the VIP National Black Movie Day kickoff and private film screening of “The Photograph” at a local DC theater and developed and implemented the social media strategy for the launch of National Black Movie Day on 2/15/20.
